It may be a day or two before round two, so here's one to tide us over.

The work behind the Slaw Cleaver prop that my girlfriend and I collaborated on. The material is all plywood that was then shaped and sanded down. The handle and blade are fully adjustable to look like both versions of the Saw Cleaver via a bolt and pin mechanism. The blade was sprayed with a texture spray paint to have that metal effect. I then carved out the runes on the blade based off of the actual runes from Bloodborne, as well as etched some distress marks for added realism. Then I went over the carvings with dark red acrylic paint. The wrappings are just basic medical gauze that I then painted over with simple water color paints. I did the same for the handle to darken the wood.

The final product is shown in my halloween/cosplay pics from 2023 (basically I did a knockoff Maria cosplay with my own flair / limited supplies for assempling the costume together) ;

It's been over a year since we made this prop, and it still holds up great! Despite using water color for the handle, the paint hasn't really come off the handle when the prop is touched. Which is good!

I am very proud of this piece, and I hope to do more props in the future with @theneverendingartwork ♡
